ABOUT US?
The Niya Foundation equips the South African Youth and children with agricultural skills, empowering them to ignite lifelong and successful careers. We provide our beneficiaries with support and skills development through paradigm shift training and mentoring so as to develop a mind-set shift, making a significant contribution to the economy, and more specifically the rural communities.
Many Orginisations, and programs target women below a certain age, however we aim to create opportunities for Women of all ages, and remove obstacles for them in rural and marginalised areas. Coupled with this and their will and drive to succeed, will result in an incredible impact to their families and communities at large.
One of our main focuses is school gardens. They are one of the best ways to supplement meals for children and parents. Nutrition from fresh produce significantly improves a child’s ability to concentrate and perform better. We understand that education and ongoing support form the basis of sustainable food garden projects, coupled with a unique model of financial independence post implementation, allows the community at large to also benefit.
Our target market is organisations who want to partner with an NGO to assist in the upliftment of Woman of all ages, in rural communities, and youth in the Agriculture sector in which they and we operate. Clients of ours must share our vision and want to partner with an organisation like ours, to make a sustainable, noticeable and long-lasting impact on the community and our beneficiaries. Many companies will allocate the money they spend with us, towards their Socio-Economic Development spend from a B-BBEE perspective.
